Every point of CDI counts

The same plan, with different offers.

Simulation of a CDI-linked CDB/RDB redeemed in full at the end. Constant rates and estimated business days; excludes inflation and taxes in other countries. Review the assumptions before deciding.

SOME CONTEXT

Understand first.

The ideas behind the numbers.

What does 100% of CDI mean?+

CDI is an interest-rate benchmark in Brazil. A 100% offer follows its daily rate; a 110% offer applies 1.1 times that daily rate. It does not mean earning 100% a year. This simulation assumes a constant annual CDI.

What changes for foreign investors?+

Your tax residency and investment regime are what matter. The general regime uses regressive IR per contribution: 22.5% up to 180 days, 20% up to 360, 17.5% up to 720 and 15% thereafter. The special non-resident scenario uses 15% only when legal conditions are met; not every person, jurisdiction or product qualifies. Confirm your classification with the institution.

How are the results calculated?+

We convert annual CDI to a daily rate on a 252-day basis and apply your offer's percentage before compounding. Estimated business days are rounded calendar days × 252 / 365, without the B3 holiday calendar. Each contribution has its own holding period, IOF and IR base. Chart points represent hypothetical redemptions; taxes are not withdrawn monthly.

Contributions occur on each monthly anniversary of the initial date, adjusted to month-end when necessary. The last contribution earns no interest. We do not model intermediate maturities, product fees, exempt products or funds with come-cotas taxation.

How are exchange rates included?+

Form amounts are BRL actually invested. Their cost in your currency is contributions / entry rate / (1 − entry cost). The final value is net balance / exit rate × (1 − exit cost). All contributions use the same entry rate. A weaker real can reduce or eliminate your gain when converted.

Investment IOF is separate from FX IOF. Transfer costs are entered manually and should include the charges applicable to your transaction. We do not calculate taxes in your country of residence, treaties, tax credits or inflation.
